Minime-P8W-V2 is a stylish and ultra-compact subwoofer with superb low frequency response. The powerful Class D amplifier coupled with the patented SLAPS passive device enables MiniMe-P8W-V2 to reproduce frequencies down to 27 Hz.
The V2 series sports massive upgrades over the previous generation. The new SLAPS M Series doubles the excursion potential thus increasing subharmonic output by 40 percent. A stylish remote control has also been added for fine tunings on the fly.
MiniMe V2 is covered in deep luxurious white piano lacquer. The cabinet finish begins with a thorough sanding and priming followed by multiple applications of black lacquer with additional fine sanding between layers. The cabinet is then finished with a smooth, high gloss clear coat. The elegant piano lacquer complements its compact modern design and in a sculptural way adds finesse and exclusivity to your home.
MiniMe-P8W-V2 is equipped with an over sized 320-watt Class D amplifier. The advanced Class D technology has an efficiency of 90% which means that the amplifier does not get hot even with hard and continuous operation. Earthquake's unique Evolved Class D design is distinguished by high performance and superb bass control. Even the most complex source material is reproduced articulated and precise.
SLAPS stands for Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System. As the name indicates SLAPS is built symmetrically which distinguishes it from traditional passive devices. SLAPS integrates identical components in its suspension and design ensuring the unit is moving identically in both directions. The revolutionary efficiency and performance are the result of the pneumatic coupling between SLAPS and the active driver. SLAPS overcomes the limitations known from conventional closed and ported designs that prevent radical excursion and deep response. The unique design allows the active driver compression free movement resulting in deep, dynamic and hard-hitting bass response.
In the V2 line the SLAPS has been upgraded to the newly designed SLAPS M Series. SLAPS M uses a doubled ring chassis that increases the distance between the inner and outer surround by over 3 cm. This combined with doubling the height of the surround, increases excursion potential 100 percent over the previous design. With less mechanical resistance at X-mech the sound remains dynamic, punchy and precise even at max excursion.
